Eager to learn Norwegian? Why not do it with a school that's truly top-notch?

Welcome Hub Agder has teamed up with the Arendal Adult Education Center (Arendal Voksenopplæring), a school that was nominated for the prestigious Queen Sonja School Award, to bring you Norwegian courses at both beginners and intermediate levels.

You’ll be learning from expert native-speaking teachers who are passionate about helping you succeed and who offer a curriculum designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Our courses will help you build a strong foundation in Norwegian, covering essential vocabulary, grammar, and conversational skills while also gaining a deeper understanding of Norwegian culture, traditions, and way of life, enriching your overall learning experience.

Your classmates are also likely to be new in Norway so you will have plenty in common and have an opportunity to grow your social circle. What's more, our intermediate courses are offered free of charge due to the generous funding we receive from IMDi.

Levels

Norwegian Course for Beginners- Level A1 - Next enrolment in March 2025. Registration open.  This course is designed specifically for beginners.

  • Targeted start date - March 2025*
  • Duration: Once a week, for seven weeks
  • Time: 17:00-19:30
  • Fee: NOK 3,750 (employed, before 25% MVA) / NOK 3,000 (unemployed, before 25% MVA)
  • Venue: Arendal Voksenopplæring, Kystveien 2, 4841 Arendal

Norwegian Course for Beginners (A1) - Part 2 - Next enrolment in March 2025. Registration open This course is open to those who have completed our Part 1 course for beginners.

  • Targeted start date - March 2025*
  • Duration: Once a week, for seven weeks
  • Time: 17:00-19:30
  • Fee: NOK 3,750 (employed, before 25% MVA) / NOK 3,000 (unemployed, before 25% MVA)
  • Venue: Arendal Voksenopplæring, Kystveien 2, 4841 Arendal

Norwegian Course - Intermediate level A2-B1 (IMDI-funded)  To qualify for this course, participants would have needed to have completed our beginners courses and reached the required level of proficiency. Spots are limited and priority is given to our students who have completed our beginners course. If you have not enrolled in any of our courses, you may still sign-up for the courses on offer if there are spots left. More info to come when we find out if we have received funding for this year.
